1. Use of the App

You may use the App only for personal, non‑commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

You agree that you will not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content

2. Accounts and Guest Mode

You may use Aisle Scan either in guest/demo mode or by creating an account.

• Guest mode: Limited functionality intended for trying the App. Scans are not intended to be stored or associated with a persistent profile.
• Registered account: Allows you to save scan history, set preferences, and access personalized features.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

The App provides AI‑assisted analysis of food labels for informational and educational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You understand and agree that:

• The information in the App is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
• You should always consult a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional before making significant diet or health decisions.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any analysis or recommendation.

4. User Content

By scanning or uploading images and providing profile information, you grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use that content solely for operating and improving the App (for example, to process scans, generate insights, and maintain your history).

You represent that you have the right to provide such content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Third‑Party Services

The App may integrate third‑party services (such as AI providers, analytics, or cloud hosting). Your use of those services may be subject to additional terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third‑party services.

6. Intellectual Property

Aisle Scan, including its design, logo, and underlying software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the App, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion.

You may stop using the App at any time and, where supported, delete your account from within the App.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non‑infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your local jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
